Remove Microsoft AutoUpdate from your Mac

Open the terminal on your mac and run the following commands.

sudo -i
cd /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MAU2.0 && rm Microsoft AutoUpdate.app \
cd /Library/LaunchAgents/ && rm com.microsoft.update.agent.plist \
cd /Library/LaunchDaemons/ && rm com.microsoft.autoupdate.helper.plist \
cd /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/ && rm com.microsoft.autoupdate.helper
