I speak plainly.
The Scripture does not begin with systems.
It does not begin with categories.
It does not begin with Latin grammar.
It begins with God.
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”
— Genesis 2:7
The Hebrew says: Adam became a living soul.
Not a concept.
Not a classification.
Not a philosophical abstraction.
A living soul.
Mankind is formed — from the dust.
Mankind is animated — by the breath of God.
Mankind is alive — because God gives life.
The Bible does not divide mankind into linguistic inventions.
It does not speak in Latin terms.
It does not define man by empire.
It declares:
Adam — mankind.
Ish — man.
Ishah — woman.
Nephesh chayyah — living soul.
When God speaks, He defines.
Before governments existed — mankind existed.
Before empires rose — mankind breathed.
Before languages multiplied — God formed.
Mankind is not described first as biological matter alone.
Mankind is not described first as social order.
Mankind is described as dust filled with divine breath.
The breath is from God.
The life is from God.
The soul is living because God wills it so.
This is the foundation.
Mankind is a living soul under the authority of the Creator.
That is the biblical declaration.
Nothing added.
Nothing reduced.
Nothing imported.
Only Scripture.
